Mike Bayer is the founder and CEO of CAST Centers. He has over ten years of experience working in mental health as an addiction counselor and personal development coach. His own personal and professional experiences ultimately lead him to found CAST.
The philosophy that Mike created for the foundation of CAST is based upon the CAST Alignment Model (CAM), which is an integrative formula that combines healing the body, mind and soul simultaneously. Through his experience in the field, Mike discovered that many mental health facilities focused solely on the psychological aspect of recovery and did not integrate the body and spirit into achieving and maintaining recovery. The CAM incorporates the whole person and helps to transition the individual into living a complete and fulfilling life.
Mike received his B.S. degree in Alcohol and Drug Counseling from Metropolitan State University in Minnesota. He was a California Certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (CADC II) as well as a Board Registered Interventionist (BRI II). His recent adventures have taken him to Kurdistan to assist refugees and raise awareness about the difficulties Kurdish refugees face daily. Mike has also been actively expanding the diverse field of services offered at CAST and developing the CAM to hopefully include an even wider range of individuals, including veterans and victims of combat PTSD.
