Our addiction experts take a clinical approach and will devise solutions as a team for any possible situation that may arise. Interventions come at a time when individuals are typically in crisis. CAST specializes in various intervention techniques, including workplace, corporate and family interventions. A professional interventionist tailors the intervention to the needs of the identified person, offering a controlled, objective, and non-judgmental approach. An intervention can help overcome the denial and delusion of the addict/alcoholic and present a unified front of love and support. Our specialties include dual diagnosis, mental illness, crisis, and drug/alcohol interventions for both adolescents and adults, including professionals from all walks of life. + Recovery Companions

In some cases, clients may benefit from additional coaching or companionship to provide safety, practical support, or focus and guidance. Recovery Companions are able to assist clients in a variety of ways: they may travel with a client going on a family or business trip during a period of heightened vulnerability, guide a client through a difficult transition such as a move, support a client during bereavement, assist a client in becoming more physically or socially active, help a client practice life skills, and countless other possibilities. Our recovery companions have diverse backgrounds and expertise, and we thoroughly evaluate each client’s needs to determine the best recovery companion match. Companions are available to work with clients full or part-time, day or night, up to 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Companions may work with a client for days, weeks, or even months as determined by the client and the client’s treatment at CAST.

+ Case Management

The entire CAST team coordinates your care and transition process, conferring daily in order to follow your growth. You will meet on a weekly basis with your case manager so that you can offer your own assessment of how your program is progressing, ask for anything you might need, including support to accomplish your various goals in order to transition out of treatment.Your case manager will also keep you aware of your goals and work with you on any obstacles that might need attention in the achieving of those goals. Setting you up for success is our priority. To that end, we stay involved in and guide you through your process at CAST from beginning to end.

+ Neurofeedback

CAST offers professional neurofeedback training to regulate brainwaves for a healthier and happier lifestyle. Neurofeedback teaches the brain to self-regulate and function more efficiently. By observing the brain in action, this technology allows us to analyze patterns and brainwave function, detect irregularity, and correct brain patterns by training the brain to operate at a more optimal level. Just as physical exercise strengthens the body’s control and resilience, neurofeedback training can do the same for brainwaves. A healthier brain can improve sleep patterns, leading to better alertness throughout the day. It can aid in managing attention span as well as emotions. Training brainwaves can break psychological patters such as anxiety and depression through moment-to-moment, thought-to-thought analysis and a structured development of new, healthier patterns. Neurofeedback can be used to overcome a multitude of psychological obstacles such as: anxiety, ADHD, depression, emotional trauma, autoimmune dysfunctions, premenstrual syndrome, autism, epilepsy, addictive disorders, seizures, chronic fatigue/sleep disorders, tourette’s.

CAST has strong relationships with prominent Los Angeles-based, board-certified psychiatrists who have national reputations in the field of psychiatric medicine. We will schedule our clients as needed for a thorough psychiatric assessment with a doctor whose expertise best matches all of a client’s presenting needs. Everyone works together as a team in a client’s care at CAST. And we encourage every client to be a proactive participant in her or his care. The client, who is the most accurate reporter of the affects of prescribed medications, will always be invited to be a voice in the team-wide conversation about psychiatric treatment.
