What is Life Coaching?

Life coaching focuses on developing, strengthening and maintaining healthy life practices. From nutrition and fitness to community and career, a life coach assist clients in building holistic programs that are personalized and sustainable.

Holding You Accountable

Clients are provided with guidance, education, and encouragement for each and every step as they work towards their goals. It is one thing to say you want to change, it is another thing to actually make that change.  That is why we strive to hold you accountable, to holding yourself accountable.

What’s the difference between life coaching and a therapy?

Clients come to CAST because they want to change their lives for the better.  Coaching and therapy are avenues towards this goal and often overlap.

Therapy emphasises understanding the underlying issues of mental health and/or substance abuse and how it interferes with a client’s level of functioning.  The focus is typically retrospective and requires a mental health diagnosis.

On the other hand, coaching brings our attention towards the present and the future.  Coaching helps clients not only define, but also find ways to accomplish their goals.

CAST also understands the importance of professional development and career goal-setting. Therefore, clients have access to a network of support professionals dedicated to cultivating their interests, creativity and unique skills within a healthy and supportive environment.
