Betsy Spier, LMFT
Clinical Program Director
Betsy Spier, LMFT is the Clinical Program Director at CAST Centers. She is a licensed marriage and family therapist with more than 25 years of experience in the mental health and substance abuse treatment fields.
Betsy graduated from Antioch University, Los Angeles with a Masters in Clinical Psychology. In addition to working as a clinician and administrator, for more than a decade, she has taught at the University of California, Los Angeles, in the Drug and Alcohol Studies Department, and received the Distinguished Instructor award in 2015.
In 1996, she was involved in opening one of the first “dual diagnosis” programs in South Central LA. The program came out of the need for specialized treatment for women who were chemically dependent and had co-occurring mental illnesses.
Betsy specializes in working with adults with mood disorders, addiction and co-occurring disorders.
