Mental health struggles can feel exhausting and all-encompassing. CAST Centers provides full services in our Los Angeles mental health treatments. Dealing with depression, anxiety, and other mental health disorders can be debilitating. Nevertheless, our team of professionals will be able to help the patient overcome these overwhelming emotions and pain.

We provide outpatient mental health treatment catered to our patients’ individual needs. Our goal is to help those struggling with a mental health disorder. If anyone has difficulty functioning normally because of overwhelming feelings and thoughts, we can help them better their quality of life through our outpatient treatment center.

Do I Have A Mental Health Disorder?

Sometimes it can be difficult to understand when a line is crossed from normal emotional experiences to mental health challenges. A person may feel they are losing control, or instead, they may develop an increased desire for self-isolation.

Additionally, one of the key warning signs of troubling mental health conditions is one’s physical habits and health may change. This means they may feel excessively tired, or they may lose/gain weight quickly.

Someone may feel some of the following symptoms if they are struggling with a mental health disorder, including but not limited to:

  • Depression: Reduced or increased appetite, excessive sleepiness or inability to fall asleep, feeling fatigued or restless, excessive crying, social isolation, lack of concentration, and thoughts of suicide.
  • Anxiety: Increased heart rate, rapid breathing or hyperventilation, shaking, feelings of panic, intense nervousness, or stress.
  • PTSD/trauma: Agitation, irritability, hostility towards friends or loved ones, flashbacks, extreme fear or anxiety, inability to sleep, intense nightmares, and emotional detachment.
  • Bipolar disorder: Mood swings, extremely elevated mood, feelings of guilt or hopelessness, increased risk-taking, agitation, depression, excessive sleepiness or inability to fall asleep, and frenzied speaking.
  • Stress: Low energy, digestive problems, aching muscles, inability to fall asleep, racing thoughts, low energy, and frequent colds.
  • Grief: Denial of loss, anger and frustration, depression, excessive sleepiness, and lack of energy.

Benefits of Mental Health Treatment in Los Angeles

A mental health disorder is a struggle, and not uncommon in the U.S. In fact, the National Alliance on Mental Illness confirms 11 million people in the U.S. suffer from serious mental conditions. That’s why it’s important to know the benefits of treatment and to understand how support can help. Our patients are never alone throughout treatment.

There are many benefits Los Angeles mental health treatment can provide. While outpatient programming won’t be for everyone, this allows for a more flexible approach to treatment. If patients have a stable home environment, they are able to get the necessary treatment while continuing to enjoy home life.

Benefits of mental health treatment include:

  • Improving communication with family and friends
  • Improving self-acceptance and self-esteem
  • Learning coping skills for mental health symptoms
  • Ability to manage stress more effectively
  • Building greater confidence and decision-making skills
  • Capability to change self-defeating behaviors and habits
  • Focusing on other areas of life, such as work, school, and family

Our licensed staff will determine if outpatient mental health treatment is best. Getting the treatment necessary will further benefit their mental health. In no way will our treatment harm or offer consequences to their overall health.

Instead, let us help in discovering the best mental health treatment available. At CAST Centers, patients can manage and improve their mental health through personalized Los Angeles mental health treatment.

How We Treat Mental Health Conditions

There is no single way to treat mental health disorders. With different disorders, there may be different approaches to treatment for each one. That’s why we always consult with you and create individual treatment plans based on their needs. At our Los Angeles mental health treatment center, we provide only the best services for our patients.

These include:

CAST Alignment Model (CAM)

At our facility, we offer the CAST alignment model (CAM). Through this model, we combine support and treatment as patients go through two stages. First, they will build a foundation for healing and commitment to life by building coping skills, healthy habits, and behaviors. In the second stage, people will learn how to live in a balanced home and lifestyle. We prioritize developing the ability to improve a person’s life at home, school or work, by them learning self-care and other useful skills.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

The intensive outpatient program (IOP) offers intensive care for those who are still struggling with symptoms after an inpatient program or other initial treatments. However, patients are able to stay at home and only visit the facility during necessary session times. This allows flexibility for those who might think inpatient treatment will collide with daily responsibilities. During IOP, patients will go through group therapy. As well, they will attend one-on-one sessions about their experiences and be guided by our staff to address ways to cope and heal.

LUNA: Evening IOP

We also provide an evening IOP called LUNA for those who are unable to commit to a day program. This will allow flexibility for those who still want treatment after daily responsibilities. Luna is a telehealth form of evening IOP which provides online group sessions and counseling for your mental health needs. If daily activities and responsibilities are hindering you from getting treatment, Luna is available for evening treatment times three days a week between the hours of 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

Our partial hospitalization program (PHP) provides treatment sessions at a higher level of care for recovery compared to IOP. PHP is a day treatment program with three group sessions per day for five days a week. Additionally, there is a weekly one-on-one therapy session to discover any internal pains that still linger from any present mental health disorder. If people don’t feel ready for outpatient treatment yet, PHP might be for them.

We focus on an outpatient approach to treatment so someone can continue responsibilities, such as work, school, and family. However, we don’t only have one form of an outpatient program. In fact, we have a variety to choose from. Our Los Angeles mental health facility offers a plethora of services to get treatment. We will help everyone determine which ones are the best for them, and guide you step-by-step in their recovery journey.

Conditions We Treat

A mental health disorder is not just a single element to treat. Instead, there are different ways a mental health disorder can take form. At CAST Centers, our Los Angeles mental health treatment focuses on different elements of mental health disorders to provide the most appropriate and effective course of action.

These include:

Anxiety

It’s natural to feel worried or nervous about events or situations. However, anxiety is much more than that. Anxiety is a more intense and powerful feeling of worry that affects someone’s mental and physical health. We offer full treatments for different forms of anxiety. These include panic disorders, chronic anxiety disorders, and co-occurring disorders, for example. Our method assists patients to connect their mental, emotional, and spiritual selves to improve their confidence in life.

Depression

Similar to how anxiety is more than being worried, depression is more than being sad. Depression becomes intense to the point where it could make people gain an unhealthy amount of weight, struggle with feeling hungry, or even starve themselves. It can be triggered by a physical or psychological event in life. As a result, people have difficulties trying to cope. We treat depression with a variety of services. At CAST, we provide depression therapy, lifestyle coaching, and psychiatric services to help patients overcome intense feelings of depression.

Bipolar Disorder

Bipolar disorder is also known as manic-depression. People with bipolar disorder suffer from sudden extreme periods of high energy (manic episodes), followed by extremely low and hopeless periods (depressive episodes). Bipolar disorder can be daunting, but it doesn’t have to be. When patients are treated at our facility, we help them manage stress in a healthy way. Being mentally drained every day is not normal; we can help people heal and empower their lives.

Mental Health Treatment at CAST Centers

At the CAST Centers mental health facility, we are here to support people every single step of the way. We understand the integration of your physical, emotional, and spiritual health, and believe all of these elements must come together during the healing process. In other words, we focus on recovery in all areas of someone’s life. Each person’s mental health struggles are unique. When they join us at CAST, they will have a team of people dedicated to creating an individualized treatment program that takes into account their history, present, and future.

Our focus is on a holistic treatment approach that heals the mind, body, and spirit. At CAST Centers, we offer an intensive outpatient program (IOP), coaching, partial hospitalization program (PHP), or custom outpatient care. In each of these programs, we focus on making an individualized plan for everyone. We are here to actively support them during every part of their journey toward healing and living a more empowered life.

Los Angeles Mental Health Treatments

It may be hard to reach out and ask for help, but when you are struggling every day because of mental health difficulties, we are always here to help. At CAST Centers, we offer exceptional care and services to better your mental health and overall quality of life through our Los Angeles mental health treatments.
